1. Introduction
Codnatech ("we", "us", "our") operates the FurnitureOnGo mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have regarding your information.
By installing or using FurnitureOnGo you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App and do not use our services.
2. Data We Collect
Account information
- Full name, email address, and password (hashed — never stored in plain text)
- Optional: phone number, delivery address
Device & technical data
- Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers
- App version, crash logs, and performance diagnostics
- IP address (used for security checks; not stored long-term)
Camera
- The App requests access to your device camera only when you activate the Augmented Reality (AR) furniture placement feature. Camera data is processed entirely on-device using Google ARCore; no camera images or video are transmitted to our servers.
Usage data
- Products viewed, searches performed, items added to cart or wishlist
- Orders placed, order status, and delivery history
Payment data
- Payments are processed by a third-party payment gateway (PayTabs). We do not store full card numbers, CVV codes, or banking credentials. We only retain a transaction reference ID and status.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Create and manage your account
- Process and fulfil orders
- Provide customer support
- Send transactional emails (order confirmation, password reset)
- Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
- Detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorised activity
- Comply with applicable UAE laws and regulations
4. Permissions Used by the App
- CAMERA — Required for AR furniture placement. Only activated when you tap "View in AR"; never accessed in the background.
- INTERNET — Required to load the product catalog, images, 3D models, and to process account/order operations.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Used to check connectivity before loading AR assets, preventing partial downloads.
5. Data Sharing
We share personal data only in the following circumstances:
- Vendors / sellers — To fulfil your order, the relevant vendor (e.g., Danube Home, Isteqbal, ebarza) receives your delivery name and address.
- Payment processor — PayTabs receives billing information to process payments securely.
- Legal obligation — We may disclose data if required by UAE law, court order, or government authority.
- Business transfer — In the event of a merger or acquisition, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
6. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8). Order records are kept for 5 years as required by UAE commercial law. Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- Bcrypt password hashing
- JWT-based authentication with short expiry windows
- Rate limiting and brute-force protection on login endpoints
- HTTP security headers (HSTS, Content-Security-Policy, X-Frame-Options)
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent — You can revoke camera permission at any time via your device settings

9. Children's Privacy
FurnitureOnGo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party components:
- Google ARCore — AR engine; subject to Google's Privacy Policy
- PayTabs — Payment processing; subject to PayTabs Privacy Policy
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you via the App or email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
